Data Verification Policy
We want to be upfront about where our school data comes from and how confident you should be in it.
How our school directory was built
Our nursing school listings were compiled through research covering publicly available information about nursing schools across the United States, including school names, locations, program offerings, and known professional affiliations.
What “Reported” means
You’ll see certain fields on school listings like affiliations and program offerings labeled as “Reported.” This means the information reflects what we gathered during our research, but has not yet been independently confirmed directly with the school or the relevant accrediting body.
We use this labeling deliberately, rather than presenting all information; we leave that field blank rather than guess or infer a value.
What we don’t show
- We do not display tuition or cost information. Costs change frequently and vary by residency status, program, and financial aid; we’d rather send you to the school directly for current numbers than show you something potentially outdated.
- We do not state a school’s accreditation or state-approval status as confirmed fact unless we have verified it against an official source.
- We do not publish salary or job-outlook figures without a clearly cited source, geography, and year attached.
Map locations
Some school locations on our maps are shown at the general area/state level rather than pinpointed to an exact address. We’re working on improving this over time.
How to request a correction
If you’re affiliated with a school and want to verify, correct, or update your listing, or if you’re a visitor who’s spotted something that looks wrong, please contact us. We review correction requests and update our records accordingly.
Our commitment
We would rather show you less information, clearly labeled, than show you confident-sounding information we can’t stand behind. This policy will keep evolving as we improve how we verify and update our data.
